Digital Evidence Mangement

Reliance High-Tech provides UK polices forces with combined and adapted expert recording software with broadcast industry storage and distribution techniques.

Digitial Evidence - Client
In line with the current guidelines our range of solutions have been designed to meet the growing need for a secure and streamlined approach to suspect and witness interviewing. It is a replacement to the analogue tape and video system currently in use by police forces across the UK and provides high quality video and audio recording with additional security and evidence management features.

A client versiona takes cameras and an audio feed, with tamper-proof technology, and digitally records the video and/or audio to a local hard drive and three DVD/CD burners. At the end of the interview, the removable media can then be distributed for transcription and other operational purposes.

Using a touch screen the user is guided through each step and can set-up the cameras and control the system via the on-screen controls. During the interview, there is an optional bookmarking facility so that important sections of the interview can be flagged for later retrieval.

Digitial Evident Management - Server
A secure storage and distribution platform server is a powerful storage, distribution and retrieval platform designed for use with multiple clients across geographical boundaries. Video and audio content is streamed into the server where it is securely stored using enterprise-standard network security techniques.

With access rights to each server controlled by individual police forces, transcribers, detectives, and training officers can access interviews on demand, subject to network conditions.

  • Transcribers can listen to interviews within minutes of the interview ending.
  • Downstream monitor and bookmark in real time.
  • Review and assess live and recorded interviews for training and assessment.

Using the latest transcription technology, a server ‘listens’ to each interview and creates a XML file, which is searchable. Key words can be typed into a text box and recordings will be retrieved where the text has been spoken. A hyperlink is generated which takes the user directly to that section of the recording.

Interviews can also be retrieved using a combination of data fed in from your PC. Searches can be made using the following – Suspect Name, Custody Reference Number, Interview Reference Number, Interviewing Officer, Warrant Number and Date and Time.
